The self-paced online training: Introduction to Complex Needs and Secure Treatment aims to support service providers in navigating the challenges of serving individuals who have developmental disabilities coexisting with significant complex mental health, medical, or behavioural needs. These individuals often encounter disjointed service experiences and fall under the Complex Needs Designation.
The course consists of 8 comprehensive modules, each concluding with assessments, culminating in a final test:
Learners who successfully meet all course requirements will receive an electronic Certificate of Completion.
The online training has been developed in collaboration with Calgary Scope Society, an ACDS member organization. This course addresses the Creating Excellence Together (CET) Accreditation Standards set out by ACDS.
Self-paced Online Training: This format allows learners to progress through the modules at their own pace.
