Raising Professional Standards through Accreditation

ACDS is the primary accrediting body of organizations providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Alberta. Our comprehensive set of Creating Excellence Together (CET) standards – evaluating aspects from inclusion and rights to governance – are the recognized benchmark for the Community Disability Services sector.  

Primary CET Survey Types

There are two levels of accreditation for services providers. Each assesses the achievement of continuous quality outcomes in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
 
Assesses primary, mandatory
level of service outcomes
and performance
Promotes and recognizes
an advanced level of
performance achievement
