Non-Violent Crisis Intervention

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) No Holds training is currently offered only to ACDS Members in the CDS Sector virtually via Zoom and does not feature physical restraints. The course is intended for staff who do not require knowledge of restrictive interventions in their de-escalation techniques. This training meets standards for CET Accreditation purposes.  

All learners who complete this training will receive their Blue Cards Certification which meets CET guidelines.  This training is facilitated by CPI Certified ACDS instructor. 

Training covers: Prevention & Deceleration Strategies; Decision-making related to risk associated with crisis behaviour; and Post-Vention Approaches.
