Workshop Ethos Echo - Cultural Diversity Training: Each society has an accompanying "culture," a set of values, rules, and attitudes, which guide behaviour and give meaning to social life. This 4-hour course will help participants understand and appreciate that we all interpret life through our cultural lens. Workshop The Blue Quills First Nations College team has developed and delivered cultural sensitivity training that is research based and delivered in a manner that celebrates and honors workplace diversity. Topics include:
  • Defining world view (and the impact of differing world views)
  • Indigenous world view (i.e., Cree world view)
  • Roles (gender/differing world views and the long term impacts)
  • Belief systems
  • Oppression (colonial encounter/impacts)
  • Residential school & its multi-generational impacts
