Alberta Council of Disability Services

ACDS Annual Surveys

The ACDS Annual Survey is a collection of vital information about Alberta's Community Disability Services (CDS) sector workforce, from 2013 to present. The data supports sector organizations to develop evidence-based human resource strategies in pursuit of their respective organizational goals. The information is also used by ACDS, sector organizations, and funders, to help inform policies and processes at provincial and regional levels.

For 2024, the Annual Workforce Survey was replaced with a survey to support ACDS' project to develop recomendations to address the housing crisis. Safe, Affordable Housing: Recommendations to Address the Housing Crisis for Albertans with Developmental Disabilities, released in September 2025, outlines 13 recommendations and guiding principles to improve affordable, accessible housing through better policy, funding, and partnerships.
