Innovation Award


The ACDS Innovation Award honours Community Disability Services (CDS) sector organizations implementing impactful, innovative practices that ultimately benefit persons with developmental disabilities.

Organizations are recognized for ground-breaking and creative approaches that are effective in addressing the challenges currently facing organizations and the CDS sector more broadly. This includes challenges related to funding, human resources, and systems.

By recognizing and promoting innovations, ACDS encourages innovation in the sector.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ACDS Innovation Award competition has been postponed. We are looking forward to presenting the Innovation award in 2021.


Eligibility 

The award is limited to ACDS members. Members can either self-nominate or nominate another ACDS member.

Innovations must directly support one or more of the following four pillars. The pillars are ACDS' guiding principles for efforts to help meet our shared vision for vibrant communities, where people of all abilities are safe, healthy, connected, and valued.
