The Work of Caring: Small Practices for Our Wellbeing (Impact+ Webinar)

Session Overview

Caring work asks us to bring our attention, presence, and humanity to others, often many times in a single day. 

This interactive session explores simple practices that can help us stay grounded, connected, and well, while doing demanding work. Through reflection, conversation, and brief experiential exercises, participants will notice what supports their wellbeing, recognize when their inner resources are becoming stretched, and practise small ways to pause, reconnect, and restore. 

By the end of the session, participants will be able to: 

• Recognize the early signs that their energy, attention, or emotional resources are becoming stretched. 

• Practise a few simple ways to pause, reset, and reconnect during the workday. 

• Identify small, realistic practices that support their own wellbeing and help make caring work more sustainable. 

The focus is not on adding more to an already-full day, but on bringing greater awareness, steadiness, and care into the work we are already doing.

Fees

• ACDS Members: $30 + GST per learner

Certificate of Participation: To receive a Certificate of Participation, participants are requested to attend the webinar using the email address associated with your registration. A Certificate Request Form will be emailed to participants after the webinar sessions and will be available from November 2 to November 30. To receive a certificate, participants are requested to complete the form and select the webinar(s) attended. Certificates will be issued upon verification of  full attendance.
