On August 12, we deployed a survey to gather data on the potential impact of this decision on service providers; thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. The findings and our advocacy ask are outlined in Suspension of Canada-Alberta Job Grant and the CDS Sector, ACDS Advocacy Brief. Among other significant information, our data reveals that nearly 80% of the responding organizations had planned to apply for the CAJG to subsidize training for a total of about 800 staff in the remainder of 2024-25. The suspension will have significant impacts on individual service providers and on the wider sector.
