The Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) has partnered with SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) to offer community disability organizations exclusive access to SIVA’s crisis prevention training. This trauma-informed, Canadian-developed program focuses on nurturing healthy, trusting relationships while promoting safety for all.

Format
Instructor-led training delivered virtually via Zoom.
Certification
Participants who complete both days will receive SIVA Crisis Prevention Certification, valid for two years.
Fees
ACDS Full Member:
$295 + GST per learner
$145 +GST for PDD-contracted organizations
ACDS Associate Member & Non-Member:
$345 +GST per learner
$195 + GST for PDD contracted organizations
Important Notes
Registration is open to all organizations, regardless of size or membership. Limited spots available; registration will close once capacity is reached.
This fully virtual training meets standards for CET accreditation if aligned with the client profile served. Each agency must determine which version of crisis intervention training best aligns with its goal of mitigating risk and enhancing safety, based on the level of risk within the clientele served.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to training@acds.ca at least 5 business days before the session. A $45 book fee applies for late cancellations. No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged the full fee unless there are compelling circumstances.
