Hosted virtually via Zoom on June 17 and 18, 2025 from 9 AM to 12 PM MDT
The Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) is offering instructor-led Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training (No Holds) in partnership with Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). This training is open to ACDS member organizations with 50 or fewer staff.
This training does not include physical restraints and is ideal for staff who do not require knowledge of restrictive interventions. It meets standards for Creating Excellence Together (CET) accreditation.

The sessions are facilitated by a CPI-certified instructor. Learner materials will be sent to organizations upon confirmation of registration.
Participants must attend and complete both days of training and pass the post-test to receive their Blue Card Certification, which includes a unique participant code for training validation.
ACDS Members: $275 + GST per learner
Associate ACDS Members: $357 + GST per learner
Sector support subsidy is available for learners from PDD-contracted organizations in Alberta and will be applied at invoicing.
Capacity: Limited to 15 registrants. Registration will close once capacity is reached.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email training@acds.ca) at least 5 business days before the start date.
A $30 book fee will apply for late cancellations.
No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours will be charged full registration fees unless there are compelling circumstances. In such cases, learners may be accommodated in a future session.
