Advancing the Sector’s Workforce

ACDS works to advance the sector’s workforce through research, advocacy and capacity building. To realize our vision for a professional, well-trained, and stable community disability services workforce, we lead and partner with our members and other stakeholders on several initiatives of importance to the Community Disability Services sector.

Workforce Initiatives and Collaborative Mechanisms

ACDS Human Resource Coordinating Committee: With representation from ACDS members from all regions of Alberta, the Committee supports ACDS with initiatives to advance the sector’s workforce. This includes advising on research, identifying priorities, advocating, promoting the sector, and coordinating workforce initiatives
