Course The Vecova Medication Administration Course (2 days) is designed to educate disability services employees in the knowledge, skills, attitude, and judgment required to safely administer medications and treatments. The objectives of this course are:
  • identifying and explaining the four steps of the medication process
  • understanding how communication is an important part of medication administration
  • identifying the '7 RIGHTS' of medication administration
  • understanding the 3-check system of medication
  • understanding medication errors and incidents and how they differ
  • understanding universal precautions and infection control
  • understanding how drugs work
  • understanding what to do in medication emergencies
  • understanding the importance of safe practices for you and your client
  • defining PRN and the four judgments of PRN medication administration
